This blog is contributed by my friend Luciano Gomes, a VMware PSO Senior Consultant in Rio de Janeiro Area, Brazil. Thank you, Lucky!
vRealize Operations enables you to customize its widgets. In this post, which is based on the two posts here and here), it’s my honor as Brazilian to show you how you can watch the Olympic Games from my beautiful Rio de Janeiro City.
First, let’s ensure we have the pre-requisites.
- vRealize Operations with Internet access.
- The Olympic URL websites:
We will create two dashboards: Results and Live Show.
- The link to the Results dashboard is: https://www.olympic.org/olympic-results
- The link to the Live Show dashboard is: http://www.nbcolympics.com/live-stream-schedule
Now that we have all pre-requisites, let’s configure vRealize Ops:
All instructions are shown in the following screenshots. Just follow the pink arrows! 🙂
In the screenshot below, I’ve numbered the arrows so it’s easier.
Now you have the Olympic Games Live Dashboard:
Repeat the same steps above for the 2nd dashboard, but changing the URL.
In a few minutes, you will have the Olympic Results dashboard:
You can interact with the Dashboard to see the results that you want to see. I am in fact showing the results from London 2012.
In the Live Result Dashboard, you need to interact with it. When the games start, each live stream will have a specific URL, so just edit the Live Dashboard and Change the URL (looks like that they will have one specific URL to each day/type of game).
Lets the games begin!
